WHAT WE BELIEVE

What We Believe

The Bible of 66 books is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, preserved by God, and relevant and authoritative for all matters of our faith and practice.

God is One God, manifest in three equal, divine and eternal Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is our only Savior, born in time of the Virgin Mary, given a human nature, which He still has in its resurrection body, sinless in all things. His life was given for our salvation on the cross as the price for sin. He rose literally from the grave, and will return to receive and take all who believe in Him safely home to heaven. He will return to rule and rein the world as King. Now He mediates for us in heaven.

The Holy Spirit is God in us who regenerates us, places us into the body of Christ, indwells us and secures us in the salvation Christ paid for.

We believe in the Creation of all things, including mankind, in six 24-hour days by God by His power and omniscience. We believe mankind fell in the sin of Adam and Eve and needs redemption (salvation) from his sin. This salvation is a free gift to any who will repent of sin, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to save them and ask to be forgiven. The blood of Christ in His death was the means of that salvation.

We are assured that the local church is an organized body of believers in Jesus Christ with a pastor as leader, to assist a company of people to follow the Lord as His servants and disciples in a systematic, orderly way, so as to make it evident that their conduct and testimony reflect the nature and desires of our Lord in living Godly in an ungodly world.

We understand that there is a fallen kingdom headed by Satan and those angels which rebelled against God, which kingdom influences much of what goes on in our world, and that we are to resist Satan and his angels and demons rather than obey them, doing so in the enabling power of Christ.

We believe in resurrection for all; for believers to receive eternal bodies and enter heaven; for those who reject Christ, to receive their bodies and judgment in torment in a literal hell. We believe it will be Christ Who returns to take us to His heaven, and judge our works, and issue rewards or judgments in two differing end-time judgments.

We seek to grow in our Christian life as believers in Christ, and promote the Kingdom of heaven on earth while we are here through faithful attendance, support of and participation in our local churches ministries. We welcome any and all to our services. Our government form is congregational, and meetings public.
